Thruxton 23rd - 24th April
Elf Renault Clio Cup
Qualifying. Andrew Herron 5th & 5th, Steven Hunter 7th & 18th, Tom Carnaby 14th & 10th, Mark Hazell 23rd & 23rd
Race 1. A dry track greeted competitors for the start of round three and very quickly Herron gained a place from fifth on the grid.
As the field entered the Complex for the first time, Glew made a move on Newsham to take the lead, while a late braking manoeuvre from MacDowall moved him into second with Newsham now in third, closely followed by Herron, Smith and Robinson.
Meanwhile behind the front runners, contact between Mark Hazell and Alex Dew, Alex Osborne, David Shepherd and Jake Packun, as they all tried to make up places, saw an early end to their races. With the cars safely removed, racing resumed on lap seven with the race extended to 15 laps. Glew got away well from the Safety Car to lead once more, while Herron used the restart to his advantage to get ahead of Newsham at Club to take third.
By the closing stages second placed MacDowall was quickly being caught by Herron as a result of his fading tyres but he held on and Herron took the honours for the third podium spot.

Round four at the Hampshire circuit on Sunday was broadcast live on ITV4 as part of the channel’s BTCC coverage. Again a quick start by Herron saw him pass Robinson for 4th and then passing Newsham into 3rd. He then harrassed Smith for the rest of the race and finished third again.
Double podium finisher Heron said: “It’s good to come away with two third places, especially starting fifth on the grid for both but I’m really hungry for the win and know we’re quick enough. We had the wrong set-up in qualifying which really cost us, so we’ll be looking for a win at Donington.”

Porsche Carrera Cup Great Britain
Qualifying. Heading pro-am1 for both races, with fifth and seventh best times was a fine effort from Lawson, particularly at a track where both driver and team have little Carrera Cup experience to draw on. "We tried to keep hard push laps to a minimum, and I haven't taken too much out of the tyres," he said. Robert Lawson 5th (pole in class), Derek Pierce 12th (5th)
Race 1. Lawson claimed fifth overall and pro-am1 victory to cap an excellent race. "I lost a place at the start and it was unfortunate for me the way the backmarkers fell," said Lawson. "But I'm very pleased with where we've got to." Derek Pierce 11th (4th in class) Robert Lawson 5th (1st in class)
Race 2 saw Gilham move into the pro-am1 lead with a great opportunist move at the chicane as Tom Bradshaw (Team Parker Racing) and Robert Lawson battled. They slowed each other in the middle of the chicane and Gilham swept past both of them on the run past the pits. Lawson finished a good second.
Robert Lawson 9th (2nd), Derek Pierce 11th (4th)
